The lads from Neugersdorf didn't start their league campaign with a bang as they lost 4-1 to FC Optik Rathenow on Saturday afternoon. The hosts opened the scoring in the 5th minute and doubled their lead six minutes later. In the 23rd minute of the game they still managed to extend their advantage as Neugersdorf were powerless to do anything. As the second half began, the guests entered more focused to the game but it didn't have any results as they didn't create any real chances. Finally, the away side were capable to score one in the 63rd minute but super strong Optik Rathenow ended the meeting with their fourth strike with seven minutes to go. Our goldenboy Bocar Djumo played the full 90 minutes, first as a no. 10 and then as a second striker. Next up, Neugersdorf receive FSV Wacker Nordhausen on Sunday, August 5, kick off 1:30pm (GER).
