Gibraltar United's 1-1 draw with St Joseph's

April 30, 2018

The Red and Whites earned a very important point against tough rivals on Sunday afternoon and maintained their third position in Gibraltar Premier League with two points ahead of St Joseph's. Although the guests didn't produce many scoring chances, it was them, who took the lead in the beginning of the second half. As the things turned uncomfortable for the home side and loss was no option, they needed to run in the back of the result. Fortunately, Gibraltar United managed to find the net twenty minutes later and the game ended with a 1-1 draw. Our goldenboys Filipe Aguiar and Yalany Baio played the full 90 minutes, while Marco Meireles wasn't available for the match due to physical indisposition. We would like to wish Marco a quick recovery and look forward to seeing him in next match against Lions Gibraltar.
