Crawley Town's 3-2 away win at Colchester United

February 15, 2017

Reds celebrated their excellent win at the Weston Homes Community Stadium last night, as they beat 3-2 the hosts and brought the precious 3 points home. The meeting wasn't supposed to be easy for Crawley, who were facing the team who had won their last five matches at home and were the big favourite to win. However, Reds were extremely solid and concentrated during all game, by creating some nice offensive actions and taking their scoring chances. as they made 2-1 by the break. The third strike came quickly in the beginning of the second period when Jimmy Smith completed his has-trick, as he shot straight into the net from 27 meters. Our midfielder Aliu "Kaby" Djaló was in the starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes, making another excellent performance. Now Reds have a few days to rest before their next league match, which is scheduled on Saturday, February 18 against Morecambe, kick off 3pm (local hour).
